fresh air

ahh. I will just step outside for a bit of fresh air. this will help me concentrate again.. ever thought that fresh air is a very valuable good? probably! especially if you have experienced good and bad air in comparison. a recent study shows that, if we are not taking care of our environment a bit better, air quality will stink, i mean, sink more and more.. read more, for example about the Population-Weighted Multi Pollutant Index (PW-MPI), here: Link

cool project, mr pretty!

check out a great, interesting project mr Jules Pretty: http://www.julespretty.com/Extinction.html he documents biological and cultural extinction. i find that very important. because i guess many people do not realize, how fast we are loosing cultural habits, customs and skills, concepts and heritages. and i think many people do not care about all the small and big creatures who accompanied us throughout year thousands and who are now quietly vanishing, leaving us much poorer and maybe one day lonely on this still wonderful planet we call home. also by mr pretty: the sage handbook of environment and society

it is only april and the grass is already brown
the little lake i walk along on my way to work is half dried out
the little gallinule-family has lost three out of four children in two days
.. no! i was there again and there were four little ones again! so it means they were just hiding somewhere and it is not as bad as i thought it would be..
